MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, New York -- Bachata and merengue took over Manhattan's Sixth Avenue for the 36th annual Dominican Day Parade.
A carnival of sounds and colors from the island nation streamed up the avenue from West 35th St. to 56th St.

The theme of this year's parade was "Our Youth, Our Future!"
Singer-songwriter Prince Royce, a Bronx native, served as this year's grand marshal.
