EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police have made an arrest in connection with a double murder last month in Brooklyn.

Investigators say 33-year-old Gary Martin shot 27-year-old Devon Hannibal and 23-year-old Christina Stubbs inside of a car.

The two were found dead inside a red Dodge Durango on Cleveland Street in East New York June 23.

Martin has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say 13 shots were fired at the driver, who was the intended target. The woman, who was on passenger side, was hit with one round.

The pair had just left a nearby club called Linden Hall.
