Around 7:15 a.m. Friday, Freehold police responded to a report of an incident near Center Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims suffering gunshot wounds, a male and female.

The victims were transported to a local hospital and are in stable condition.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
It is not clear what circumstances may have led up to the shooting.
