A life-sized gingerbread house in New York City

FLATIRON DISTRICT, New York (WABC) -- It's not an opportunity that comes along everyday, a chance to walk through a life-sized gingerbread house.

It's on display at Madison Square Park in New York City.

It's made with ginger bricks, and topped with a "frosting" covered roof.

You'll also find decorative peppermint sticks, gum drops, and other colorful candy-like trimmings.

The best part is you can walk through it.

Once you are inside, visitors can make virtual popcorn, decorate a tree and see surprise visitors pop by.

It's fun for the entire family.

But you'd better hurry up. It's not around for long. You have only until December 18th.

Taste of Home Gingrbread Blvd is open weekdays from 2pm-8pm and on weekends Noon until 8pm.
