Surveillance released of suspect in anti-gay attack in Chelsea

CHELSEA, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police in Manhattan released video in their search for the suspect in an anti-gay hate crime in Chelsea.

Cops say the suspect walked up to a 44-year-old man and punched him repeatedly while making anti-gay remarks.

It happened on June 26th at West 27th Street and 6th Avenue.

The victim suffered abrasions to his face.

The suspect was last seen walking with a bicycle by his side.

The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.
