Here and Now: Helping families in need, soulful yoga and Misty Copeland

NEW YORK (WABC) -- On this episode of Here and Now, we discuss the nonprofit dedicated to helping families in need, the benefits of yoga and Misty Copeland is helping unemployed dancers.

The founder and CEO of Trigg House, Cathleen Trigg Jones, joins Sandra Bookman to discuss how the nonprofit is dedicated to assisting and empowering women and families in crisis.

The group puts a special focus on children in foster care and young people aging out of the foster care system.

During the pandemic, Trigg House launched an initiative call Cause We Care Now to provide meals and supplies for first responders.

Jenique Jones, the senior director of Program Operation and Policy with City Harvest also discusses how her organization is helping New Yorkers in need.



Also in this episode, certified yoga and meditation instructor Karen Taylor Bass explains the power and purpose of yoga.

And don't miss Misty Copeland discussing the launch of The Swans for Relief fund to help ballet dancers who are struggling financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
