New York-bound tube of Holland Tunnel to close for Superstorm Sandy-related repairs

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The New York-bound tube of the Holland Tunnel will close again due to Superstorm Sandy-related repairs.

From 11 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, through 8 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, the tube will be closed to traffic during overnight hours six nights a week.

Sunday 11 p.m. - 5 a.m.
Monday 11 p.m. - 5 a.m.
Tuesday 11 p.m. - 5 a.m.
Wednesday 11 p.m. - 5 a.m.
Thursday 11 p.m. - 5 a.m.

Friday 11 p.m. - 8 a.m.
Saturday no scheduled closures
Engineers are working to make the tunnel more floodproof.

While the work gets done, the New Jersey-bound tube will remain open overnight.



Superstorm Sandy-related repairs in the New Jersey-bound tube will resume after the installation work on the New York-bound side is complete.
