Police searching for man who tried to rape woman at Upper Manhattan subway station

Joe Torres has more on the search for a man who police say attempted to rape a woman in Inwood.

INWOOD, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man they say tried to rape a woman at an Upper Manhattan subway station.

The incident happened just before 6 a.m. at the 207th Street subway station.

Investigators say a man followed a 34-year-old woman into the station and put his hand under her skirt and then over her mouth

The woman managed to break free and escape.
