Man shot in Queens lobby after PlayStation buy goes bad

LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens (WABC) -- Police are investigating after a 25-year-old man was shot in the lobby of a high-rise apartment building in Queens early Monday.

It happened just after midnight on 24th Street in Long Island City.

Authorities say the victim was struck in the neck and was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell in stable condition.

He is expected to survive.

According sources, the suspect met the victim to buy a PlayStation video gaming system.

The purchase went bad, and the victim was robbed of his cell phone and then shot.

No arrests have been made.
