JAMAICA, Queens (WABC) -- Normal operations have resumed at JFK Airport following a water leak that caused the FAA to hold most flights destined for the airport.

The leak was reported in the main facility of the airport. Controllers operated from a secondary control tower during the leak.

The airport remains open, but travelers may experience residual delays.

Travelers are urged to contact their airline for specific status on their flight.
