The District Attorney's Office announced the city is working to eliminate the number of turnstile cases bogging down the court system.
Under the new effort, first-time offenders will be issued a summons that will be handled through the MTA.
Repeat offenders will get a desk appearance ticket and a chance to complete a diversion program before going to court.
