Gunman sought after double shooting in East Flatbush leaves two wounded, including 16-year-old girl

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are investigating a shooting that left two people wounded, including a 16-year-old girl in Brooklyn.

According to police, someone in a large group fired shots as the two stood on opposite sides at the intersection of Utica Avenue and Lenox Road around midnight.

A 27-year-old private security guard was one of the victims.

Officials say he was getting off a bus when he was blocked by a group of kids in some sort of dispute.

He noticed a firearm and tried to get away when he was shot in the torso.

The teen was shot in the buttocks when another shot went across the street.



The private security guard, who was targeted by the group for unknown reasons, is hospitalized and expected to survive.

The 16-year-old girl, who was not the intended target, is going to be OK.

No arrests were immediately made.
