The woman, identified as Theresa Gregg, 37, was found with puncture wounds on her body in the bedroom of her apartment on Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg.
Officers say she was already dead when they responded to the 911 call earlier Saturday just before 8:30 a.m.
Police have not said anything about a motive or suspects.
