NYU to pair students with senior citizens to help cut costs

NEW YORK (WABC) -- New York University is about to try out an unusual approach to providing housing on a college campus.

Some NYU students may soon be able to live with seniors -- senior citizens, that is.

Tuition, room and board is currently a whopping $64,000 a year, so administrators are trying to come up with ways to make the school more affordable. And a deal with the University Settlement Society of New York could help cut the $14,000-a-year housing bill in half.
