Woman slashed in dispute over subway seat in the Bronx

PARKCHESTER, Bronx (WABC) -- Police say one woman slashed another in the knee during a dispute over a seat on a subway train in the Bronx Thursday morning.

Authorities say the 53-year-old victim was sitting when she was attacked by the other woman on a number 6 train near the Castle Hill Avenue station just after 6:30 a.m.

The suspect reportedly fled the train when it arrived at the Parkchester station.

No arrests have been made.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where she was treated and released.
