Paterson fire leaves more than a dozen homeless

PATERSON, New Jersey (WABC) -- A house in Paterson was gutted by a large fire, leaving more than a dozen people homeless.

Flames broke out around 12:30 Tuesday morning on 12th Avenue.

Firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading, but the Calvary Baptist Church next door did suffer some smoke damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
