MANORVILLE, Long Island (WABC) -- The FAA is investigating after a small plane crash landed in a wooded area on Long Island.

Suffolk County Police say the single-engine ultralight plane was making its final approach to Brookhaven Calabro Airport at about 8:10 p.m. Sunday when the pilot said the plane's engine lost power.

The plane coasted into the tree tops and slowly came to rest on the ground.

The pilot, Yuri Koziy, 45, of Massapequa, was able to walk away unharmed.
