1 critically injured, another hurt in overnight Bronx apartment fire in University Heights

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Bronx (WABC) -- An overnight fire in an apartment in the University Heights section of the Bronx critically injured one person.

The FDNY responded to 2341 Andrews Ave. just after 2 a.m.

A second person was also being treated.

Fire officials say it started on the on the first floor of the five-story building.

Both victims were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.



It was not immediately clear how the fire started.
