Two 23-year-old men were stabbed during a street dispute on Nagle Avenue just after 12:40 a.m. One victim suffered a stab wound to the stomach and was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital. The second victim was stabbed in the chest and was taken by police cruiser to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
No arrests had been made as of Monday morning.
The stabbing happened near 141 Nagle Ave. and was one of several violent incidents reported in the neighborhood overnight. Police said the violence is being investigated as separate incidents.
About an hour before the fatal stabbing, a 30-year-old man was shot in the wrist near Sherman Avenue and Isham Street around 11:46 p.m. He was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and is expected to survive. Investigators said four masked suspects fled westbound on Isham Street following the shooting.
Then, around 1:12 a.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in the leg near Dyckman Street and Nagle Avenue. He later arrived at Jacobi Medical Center by taxi and was listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made in that case.
