13-year-old boy injured after moped collides with MTA bus

PORT RICHMOND, Staten Island (WABC) -- A 13-year-old was critically injured in a collision with an MTA bus in the Port Richmond section of Staten Island.

The boy was on a moped when he collided with a bus eastbound on Castleton Avenue around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

He was taken to Richmond University Medical Center in critical condition with a head injury.

The bus operator and the three passengers on the bus were not injured.
