14-year-old boy shot in the leg in Soundview section of the Bronx; no arrests made

SOUNDVIEW, The Bronx (WABC) -- A 14-year-old boy is recovering after being shot in the leg in the Bronx over the weekend.

The shooting happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday on Taylor Avenue in the Soundview section.

Upon arrival, officers found the teenager with a gunshot wound to his leg. Video captured police canvassing the nearby area for clues as they began their investigation.

First responders transported the victim to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition.

There are currently no arrests and no description of the suspect.



Authorities are trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
