16-year-old boy fatally shot in East New York, Brooklyn

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A teen boy was shot and killed in East New York on Friday afternoon, police say.

Marquise Byfield, 16, was shot several times at 909 Livonia Avenue before 4:15 p.m. Friday.

He was taken to the hospital by EMS in critical condition and was pronounced dead at One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Medical Center.

There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
