17-year-old injured in shooting near Bronx playground; no arrests made

THE BRONX (WABC) -- A 17-year-old was injured in a shooting near a playground in the Morrisania section of the Bronx.

Police were called to E 169th St & Washington Ave for reports of a shooting before 11 p.m. on Friday night.

According to officials, a 17-year-old was shot in the hip.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
