2 injured after industrial conveyor belt accident in Oceanside, NY

OCEANSIDE, Long Island (WABC) -- Nassau County emergency workers rescued two men who were injured when a conveyor belt fell on them at a recycling materials processing facility in Oceanside on Monday morning.

The two men, 62 and 68, were pulled out from under an industrial conveyor belt at Earth Tech Recycling.

Police say the 62-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by the Oceanside Fire Department to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The 68-year-old man sustained critical injuries and was airlifted via helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment.
