Man, woman killed after scooter crash on Grand Central Parkway in Queens

QUEENS (WABC) -- Two people were killed on Thursday when they were ejected from a scooter on the Grand Central Parkway in Queens.

The victims, a man and a woman, were on a scooter that collided with an SUV near the Jackie Robinson Parkway at around 6:35 p.m.

They struck a white BMW, a blue Ford Explorer and a Black Ford van as they were ejected onto the highway.

Police say the male victim died at the scene. The woman was later pronounced dead at NY-Presbyterian Queens Hospital.

The drivers of the three other vehicles were taken to hospitals and are in stable condition.



Police have not yet released the identity of the victims.
