It happened at a house located at 16 Angevine Avenue.
Police say they responded to a call at about 10:15 a.m., and two men were found dead in the basement of the home.
There were many people gathered just outside of the police tape looking on as both Hempstead police and the Nassau County Police Homicide Bureau are investigating the deadly shooting.
The investigation is ongoing and authorities have not released any other information at this time -- including the identity of the two victims.
