The victims include two teenagers, as well as a 20-year-old, 24-year-old, 29-year-old, 30-year-old and a 36-year-old, according to police.

Detectives spent all night Tuesday combing through a lot of evidence at the large crime scene.

Police responded to Centre and Furman streets, near Rt. 1, around 10:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found several victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Two are said to be in critical condition. Five others are also being treated at Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

At least 35 shell casings could be seen on the ground near the scene.

What looks to be a child's backpack, along with sneakers, were seen on the ground behind the scene tape. There was also a car with a shattered back window at the corner near the cluster of shell casings.

The Mercer County Shooting Response Team is on scene and conducting the initial investigation.

Police are looking into whether this was a shootout or multiple shooters. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact 609-989-4000 or 609-989-4155.
