2-year-old critical after falling from second-story window in Brooklyn

MIDWOOD, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A 2-year-old girl fell from a second-story window in Midwood, Brooklyn, on Monday morning.

The girl fell out the window of the East 2nd Street home at around 8 a.m.

She was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition.

Her mother was in the bathroom when the child climbed out, officials say.

There did not appear to be window guards.
