OZONE PARK, Queens (WABC) -- A 23-year-old man has died after he was hit by a car in what police say was part of a love triangle domestic dispute in Queens.

It happened just before 11 p.m. Thursday at 101st and Liberty Boulevard in Ozone Park.

The victim was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital.

After the incident, the driver went to a police station.

Police now say the victim was accused of harassing the male driver and a woman inside the car, who was his ex-girlfriend.

The driver, and current boyfriend of the woman, told police the victim was approaching his car while flashing what appeared to be a gun and as he drove off, he struck the victim as he attempted to get away, police said.

The driver is being interviewed by police. So far charges have not yet been filed as the DA continues to look into the circumstances of the victim's death.
