3 men injured after shooting outside building in East Village

EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Three men are recovering after being shot outside of a building in Manhattan overnight.

Police say the shooting happened just after 3:30 a.m. on Sunday in front of a building on East 6th Street near Avenue D.

Videos shows police officers arriving on scene and canvassing the nearby area following the incident.

A total of three men, ages 35, 37 and 41, were injured as a result of the shooting. The 35-year-old and 37-year-old both suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The 41-year-old man was shot in the groin.

First responders transported the victims to Bellevue Hospital, where they are all in stable condition and expected to recover.



According to the NYPD, the shooting occurred in the courtyard of the Jacob Riis Houses, which is a NYCHA complex.

There are currently no arrests as authorities try to determine a motive for the shooting.
