Construction worker killed, 2 others hurt after out-of-control car crashes in Nesconset

NESCONSET, Suffolk County (WABC) -- A man was killed when an out-of-control vehicle crashed into three construction workers in Nesconset on Monday morning.

It happened on Townline Road and Terry Road at 6:43 a.m.



The car then crashed into a tree.

The three construction workers were contractors working for Suffolk County on a paving project.



One man was was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, another was seriously injured, and the third suffered non-life-threatening injuries.



The driver was seen being placed into handcuffs and taken into police custody.

The crash is under investigation.
