FORT GREENE, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A person is in custody after a motorcycle struck a group of pedestrians inside a park in Brooklyn.

According to police, the driver came into Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene just before 7 p.m. Sunday and hit at least nine people. Four of those victims are in critical condition. The others are in stable condition.

Police say a 53-year-old woman was driving the three-wheeler. Charges are expected to be filed, but multiple people in the park told Eyewitness News she would not have purposely run into the crowd and must have lost control. She was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

"She's not a bad person, she's a good person. I'm telling you that. She's a good person," said Mike Smith.

"Everybody that was sitting here went up in the air," said Kim Tammy.

Authorities will be looking into whether the driver was sober and if she knew how to handle the bike.
