American Airlines Flight 386 landed safely around 2 p.m. local time. Passengers were able to exit the Boeing 737-800 via stairs, the agency said, and were bused to the terminal.
Several fire trucks and police cars could be seen surrounding the American Airlines plane.
The airline said there were no injuries, and the plane has been taken out of service for inspections.
"American Airlines flight 386 experienced a tire issue after landing safely at Chicago (ORD). Per procedure, first responders met the aircraft out of an abundance of caution and customers were transported safely to the terminal by bus," American Airlines said in a statement.
The FAA will investigate.
Also on Monday, a United Airlines flight from Omaha similarly landed with blown tires at O'Hare.
The runway was temporarily closed due to debris on the ground, and a few flights had to go around as well, according to flight tracking data and air traffic control audio.
There were no injuries and passengers deplaned on the taxiway using airstairs and were bused to the terminal, United Airlines said.
The incidents come days after a different United Airlines flight abruptly aborted takeoff at O'Hare due to blown tires, according to air traffic control audio.
