NEW YORK (WABC) -- The annual gala for "The Partnership for the Homeless" was held Thursday night on the Upper East Side.
More than a million dollars was raised at the event.

The money will help support a homeless shelter, and more importantly get people into affordable housing.

60,000 people are sleeping in New York City shelters, that's the highest level in decades.
