UPPER WEST SIDE (WABC) -- There was a frightening sight on the Upper West Side late Wednesday afternoon.
A big rig leaving a construction site fell through a sidewalk on 65th Street between West End and Amsterdam avenues around 5 p.m.

Witnesses say they heard a loud boom when the concrete gave way, obviously, unable to support the weight of the truck.
No injuries were reported.
