From Sept. 8 through Sept. 20, theatergoers can get two tickets for the price of one to 25 participating shows, including long-running favorites such as Wicked, The Lion King, MJ The Musical, The Book of Mormon and Chicago.
The promotion also includes newer productions like The Lost Boys, Titanique and Just in Time, offering audiences a chance to experience a wide range of musicals, comedies and immersive theater experiences at a discount.
Director Michael Arden said The Lost Boys appeals to both longtime fans of the cult classic film and newcomers.
"It's scary, funny, heartwarming, epic, but it's intimate," Arden said.
Cast member Soshana Bean said audiences don't need any familiarity with the movie to enjoy the musical adaptation.
Another crowd favorite is Titanique, the off-Broadway comedy that imagines a world where Celine Dion was on board the Titanic. Co-creator Marla Mindelle said audiences often arrive unsure what to expect from the unusual concept but leave raving about the laughs.
Also featured in the promotion is Just in Time, starring Jeremy Jordan as singer Bobby Darin. Jordan said the production breaks from traditional Broadway conventions by blending narration, audience interaction and an immersive nightclub atmosphere.
"You're in the Copa," cast member Carrie St. Louis said, describing the show's setting, which places audiences in the middle of the action with performers moving throughout the theater.
Reality TV fans will also have a reason to visit Broadway. Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix is set to join the cast of Just in Time as Connie Francis beginning Sept. 12.
With 25 shows participating and tickets available at two-for-one prices, Broadway Week offers one of the biggest theater discounts of the year, giving audiences plenty of reasons to take a seat and catch a show.
