The collision happened around 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Hunts Point Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard.
According to the NYPD, 28-year-old Charles Jenkins was traveling eastbound on East 163rd Street in a Honda Civic when he collided with a Mercedes. Jenkins then struck a group of three men, ages 31, 33 and 40, before hitting several other parked cars.
First responders transported the victims to Lincoln Hospital for treatment. The 33-year-old man was critically injured as a result of the crash. The two other victims are listed in stable condition, police say.
Jenkins is now facing a list of charges, including three counts of vehicular assault.
Authorities are trying to determine what led up to the collision.
