Police say 24-year-old William Credle, who was out on bail, held a 15-year-old New Jersey girl in his Bronx apartment for nearly 24 hours after meeting her online.
Credle is accused of raping her, blocking her from leaving when she wanted to go home, hiding her tablet and raping her again -- all as she repeatedly cried for him to stop. He then punched her in the head, police say.
When the girl's parents realized she wasn't at home in bed, police traced the GPS on her tablet to Hughes Avenue in the Bronx, where Credle was arrested and the girl was rescued.
He was charged with rape, sexual abuse, unlawful imprisonment, and other charges.
Police released his picture as they search for other victims.
Credle's rap sheet includes other violent crimes and sex-related offenses.
The NYPD says he has been arrested before for the same type of incident in Manhattan and was out on bail awaiting his sentencing when police say he struck again.
Police are asking any other victims to please come forward by calling the NYPD's Sex Crimes Hotline at 1-212-267-RAPE (7273), NYPD's Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-646-610-7272, Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
