1 person critically injured after 3 people shot in the Bronx; no arrests

BRONX, New York (WABC) -- Three men were rushed to the hospital, including one in critical condition, after they were found shot in the Bronx on Thursday, according to officials.

The three victims were standing on the sidewalk near a laundromat and deli outside 549 Commonwealth Ave. around 3:15 p.m. when a gunman fired about four shots from a car.

When officers arrived they found three men shot, including a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head, a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back.

They were taken Jacobi Hospital. The victim who was shot in the head is in critical condition, while the other two men are in stable condition, according to police.



The location where the shooting occurred was at an intersection with several businesses.



There are many residential homes and apartment buildings on Commonwealth Avenue not far from where it happened.

People were coming home from work, including one man who found all four windows of his minivan shot out.

Shell casings were marked by cones on the ground.

Authorities are looking for a white SUV seen traveling north on Commonwealth Avenue, according to police sources.



No arrests have been made.

The NYPD is investigating.
