Police investigating death of 1-year-old boy in Brownsville, Brooklyn

BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the death of a 1-year-old boy in Brooklyn.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 203 Newport St. in the Brownsville section around 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3.

When officers arrived, they found an unconscious and unresponsive 1-year-old boy.

EMS took the child, identified as Anthony Casey, to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

There's no word yet on how he died.



No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
