The shooting happened just after 5 a.m. outside Richard's Restaurant and Bar in Canarsie. Police say the victims, two men and two women between the ages of 38 and 44 were shot in the legs or arms.
Video shows a man walking up to a group of people in front of the bar on Avenue L. Words were exchanged and roughly 17 seconds later, the suspect pulled a gun and started firing, aiming right at the people in front of the lounge.
Two witnesses casually walked away and crossed the avenue as the victims ran into the bar. Police say four people were hit with bullets. Everyone was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
It is not clear what sparked the violence.
Eyewitness News reached out to the bar but did not hear back.
Police are looking for the gunman who appeared to take off on foot down East 94th Street.
