Violent Greenwich Village armed robbery at CVS caught on camera

GREENWICH VILLAGE (WABC) -- There's new video of a violent robbery in Manhattan, and police are hoping the surveillance will lead to an arrest.

A man with a hooded coat is seen attacking the manager of a CVS Pharmacy on the Avenue of the Americas in Greenwich Village just after 3 a.m. Monday, forcing him into a back office.

The suspect, who was armed with a gun, ordered the manager to open the safe.

He got away with $9,000.

The suspect is described as a male wearing a black, three-quarter length coat with a fur hood, gray pants and brown boots. He was also carrying a black messenger bag.
