NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- In this episode of "Up Close," we'll talk about a new era in city government.

After unveiling a budget of more than $124 billion, Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the city's fiscal crisis is over.

He was able to close the $5.5 billion budget deficit with help from the state, but some are worried about long-term budget deficits for the city.

We'll talk to New York City's First Deputy Mayor Dean Fuleihan.

We'll also discuss hantavirus and measles, as concerns are rising for both.

In this episode, we'll sit down with New York City's Health Commissioner Dr. Alister Martin to talk about it, and how concerned we should be.

But, we'll first dive into the Gilgo Beach murders.

They went on for years without getting solved, so why did it take so long to find the serial killer Rex Heuerman?

We'll talk to one of the key people who helped solve the killings, former Suffolk Police Chief Rodney Harrison.

Up Close with Bill Ritter and Liz Cho airs Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. on Channel 7, WABC-TV in New York City.
