Police searching for suspect after 2 people shot outside home in College Point

COLLEGE POINT, Queens (WABC) -- Police are searching for the suspect accused of shooting two people outside a home in Queens late Friday night.

The shooting happened just before midnight along 15th Avenue in College Point.

Upon arrival, responding officers found a 19-year-old woman shot in the neck and a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

First responders transported the victims to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where they are expected to recover from their injuries.

The NYPD says the suspect, a man, fled the scene following the shooting.



Authorities are now trying to determine a motive for the shooting as part of their investigation.
