Does meditation help provide relief from migraines?

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A new study finds meditation may help provide relief from migraines.

Researchers found an 8-week program of "mindfulness-based stress reduction" seemed to reduce the frequency and severity of migraines. The program includes body awareness and yoga.

Patients who completed the program tended to have 1.4 fewer headaches per month that were less severe.
