13-year-old boy shot in the shoulder in East Harlem; police searching for suspect

EAST HARLEM, Manhattan (WABC) -- A teenager was rushed to the hospital after being shot in East Harlem on Thursday.

The shooting occurred at 210 E. 102nd St. shortly after 4 p.m.

Officials say a 13-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

He was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital, and is expected to survive.

Police describe the suspect as a male wearing a black shirt and fled in an unknown direction.



Officials say there are no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
