"I kept compressing her chest, I tried searching for a pulse, but she had no pulse - her lips were blue," Powell says.

In an exclusive interview, Powell talked about Lindsay, the youngest of three girls - a free spirit who loved life.
Monday morning on Halsey Street in Bushwick, police say Naquan Ricks drove his car down the sidewalk, hitting nearly a dozen. Lindsay was rushed to the hospital, but was discharged Tuesday. She came home, but wasn't feeling right. On Friday morning, the 36-year-old suddenly collapsed in her bedroom. She was unresponsive, but Powell was able to get her back.
"She said 'my chest hurts, I can't breathe,' I said 'Lindsay, what happened?' She said, 'I just felt dizzy,' and she went back out," Powell adds.
Lindsay worked with homeless women and children and was studying for her bachelors.

"They took someone who had high hopes," said Powell.
As for Ricks, Powell tells Eyewitness News that it is not about justice - rather, much more than that.
"The system now has him out on the street. If this was an elected official, a police officer, or anyone else in a different neighborhood, would he be out on $10,000 bail? I bet you not," added Powell.
It is not clear why Lindsay died. An autopsy will shed more light on that. Depending on the results, Ricks could face more charges.
