The children, half-siblings Ja'launi Tinglin and Aniya Tinglin, were taken to St. John's Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. They shared the same father.

Another 4-year old girl, the boy's twin sister, is in stable condition at St. John's Hospital.

EMS also transported the children's grandparents, a 55-year-old woman to Jamaica Hospital and a 63-year-old man, to Nassau University Medical Center, where they are listed in stable condition.

Neighbors say the children were at the home visiting their grandparents.

The fire was placed under control at 1:17 a.m. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
