TriBeCa (WABC) -- A second alarm fire spread smoke through a high rise TriBeCa apartment building.

Five residents of the Greenwich Street building were treated for smoke inhalation from the small fire, which started at around 8:45 p.m. Sunday.

The fire appeared to be contained to trash on the fifth floor, but smoke spread through the 39-story apartment building.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and firefighters searched the building to make sure no one was injured.

Five residents are being treated at the hospital.
