SOHO, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police say a food cart vendor in SoHo was physically assaulted by his competitors - and ended up in the hospital.
The victim was struck repeatedly with a metal object around 8 a.m. Saturday as he set up his cart on Broadway between Broome and Spring Street.

Emergency workers rushed the man to the hospital. Police arrested three other food vendors and charged them with gang larceny assault.
The victim was back at work Saturday afternoon.
